Covestro (India) and AIPMA's AMTEC held a convocation ceremony on June 12, 2024, to celebrate the success of the students who completed their training under the project, "Upskilling Youth in the Plastic Industry." This is a CSR project by Covestro (India), in collaboration with their implementation partner, the All India Plastic Manufacturers Association (AIPMA)’s Arvind Mehta Technology & Entrepreneurship Center (AMTEC).

This initiative by Covestro (India) underscores their commitment to promoting skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities among youth. By partnering with All India Plastic Manufacturers Association (AIPMA), Covestro (India) endeavours to create awareness about the plastic industry's potential and provide a platform for aspiring individuals to build rewarding careers.

The project named as “Upskilling Youth in Plastic Industry,” focussed on courses - 3D printing, Mould Product Design, and Tool which are certified by renowned institutions and knowledge partners like Siemens, Auto Desk and 3D Systems.

The program, conducted between November 2023 and May 2024, trained 100 students for the plastic industry. Out of these, 22 students are pursuing higher education, 70 have secured placements in esteemed companies such as Jay Precision, SVP Packing India Pvt Ltd, ARMS For Bajaj Auto, Varroc Polymers, and Machine, among others, while 8 students are in the process of securing jobs showcasing the ongoing positive outcome of the project.
