Fragrance manufacturer Iberchem, part of Croda International, today inaugurated its new creative centre in Jakarta, Indonesia.

José Balibrea, Managing Director at Iberchem, Richard Butler, VP Fragrances at Croda and members of the Embassy of Spain in Indonesia joined the local team to celebrate this new company milestone in the country. Necessary to support the growing local demand, the new facility comprises the activity of both Iberchem and Scentium, the flavour division of the company.

Located in the west area of the capital, in the Tokopedia Tower, the centre features sampling and application labs as well as testing cabins for personal care and home care products. The new hub, which spans over 900 sqm, is also home to a recently extended team of fragrance technicians and specialists and counts on the full-time presence of a perfumer specialised in the market. Administration, sales, and marketing teams will also be relocated in the new office while production and quality control will remain in the Tangerang facility.

Commenting on the centre, Balibrea, said: “This new facility is a key achievement in our 2025 strategy to potentiate our activity in high-growth markets. It also demonstrates the importance and relevance of Indonesia for the company. This creative centre now puts us in a privileged position to further strengthen our long-term growth.”

Commenting on the inauguration of the new facility, Pierre Marchadier, General Manager said: “This new centre highlights our ongoing commitment to our regional and local customers: from the design of the space to the location, we kept in mind their needs and their wants. It will provide our local team with even more agility at the time of delivering fragrance solutions. Our customers will now benefit from a faster response from our team.”

Iberchem opened its first facility in Indonesia in 2002, in Jakarta. Since then, the company has been continuously active on the market, maintaining a steady business growth.
