Indian Chemical News (ICN), a credible online new media platform covering Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Energy sector, shall be releasing the third Edition of industry compendium, Chemical Industry Outlook 2023, in April 2023. The theme of this year’s edition is ‘India@75: Looking Back, Looking Ahead’.

An exclusive collection of premium content for CXO level people, Chemical Industry Outlook 2023 is a collection of latest trends and analysis from Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Energy sector. 

This latest edition of the Compendium is focused on both past achievements as well as the future roadmap for the industry. It is expected to feature close to 75 interviews and columns from Chemicals (Basic Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Paints & Coatings, Agrochemicals), Petrochemicals, Energy, and other allied sectors. Focus is on Policy; Global Market; Sustainability, Green, and Circular Economy; Logistics & Supply Chain; Digitalization; Technology; Renewables; EV & Battery; Hydrogen; and others. 

As the nation celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ commemorating 75 years of India’s independence, ICN is embarking on its ambitious endeavor: CHEMICALS@75. 

The initiative aims to highlight the critical role that the Chemicals sector plays in the country’s economic growth across sectors and how it can catalyze the government’s dream of a self-reliant, prosperous, advanced and modern India by 2047, as envisioned by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech.

In the spirit of the Amrit Mahotsav, CHEMICALS@75 will be dedicated to companies, brands, and personalities who have and will play revolutionary roles in activating the vision ‘India 2.0’ fuelled by the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. At the same time, it will also dwell on matters that concern the sector in unleashing its potential, for the country, for businesses, and for the people.

The earlier two editions of Chemical Industry Outlook have received a tremendous response and participation from the industry. The print and digital version of the Compendium were widely promoted, circulated and referred to by the key stakeholders including Government, Industry Associations, Think Tanks, and Industry at large. 

The ICN Chemical Industry Outlook Compendium 2023 will be released in April 2023 and select copies of the same will be distributed to key industry stakeholders during the event. The print version shall also be distributed throughout the year at various exhibitions and conferences to be held in India.

The digital version of the compendium shall be promoted via dedicated mailers to ICN subscriber database, social media channels, and website.   

The Inaugural Edition of the compendium, ‘Chemical Industry Outlook 2021’ focused on “Exploring New Horizons Of Growth” keeping COVID-19 in picture. The theme for the Second Edition, ‘Chemical Industry Outlook 2022’ was “Making India A Global Manufacturing Hub.” This was in sync with the government announcing Rs. 20 lakh crore Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package. The 2023 edition will focus on “India @75: Looking Back, Looking Ahead”. This Edition is focused on past achievements and also on future roadmap.

As per reports, the market size of the Chemicals sector in India was around US $178 billion in 2019 and is predicted to grow to US $304 billion by 2025. The Chemicals industry accounts for 7% of India’s GDP and about 14% in the overall index of industrial production. Hence, the sector has the potential to become the growth engine for the country’s economic growth and contribute majorly in making India a US $5 trillion economy.
