Greenzo Energy, India’s indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RBM Infracon Limited to explore green hydrogen generation in Gujarat. The partnership aims to establish Rs. 200 crore green hydrogen facilities with a total capacity of 15 MW across Jamnagar, Kutch, and Bhuj.
Under the MoU, Greenzo Energy will oversee the design, development, engineering, procurement, and commissioning of the plants. The project will feature the company’s indigenously developed electrolyzer units, rated at 5 MW each, along with separation, purification, and storage units.
The project is set to commence in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25 and will roll out in phases over an 18-month timeline, starting with Jamnagar and expanding to Kutch and Bhuj based on market demand.
Sandeep Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of Greenzo Energy, highlighted that this MoU represents a shared vision to accelerate India’s shift from grey to green hydrogen. He noted that the project would play a crucial role in supporting industries such as refineries and agriculture, thereby promoting sustainable practices and reducing carbon footprints.
Jay Bajrang Mani, Chairman & Managing Director of RBM Infracon, stated that the collaboration marks a significant step towards sustainable infrastructure, positioning the company at the forefront of the clean energy transition in India. The facilities aim to create jobs and drive economic growth while advancing India’s clean energy goals.
Greenzo’s alkaline electrolyzer, manufactured at its Sanand facility, is tailored for India’s climate and efficiently delivers hydrogen at high pressure, eliminating the need for additional compressors.
