Rajendra K. Mariwala elected as Vice President and Kartik Bharat Ram as Additional Vice President of ICC

Bimal Lalitsingh Goculdas, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited (formerly known as The Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Company Limited) has taken over as the President of the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) for a period of two years (2022-2024).

Bimal Lalitsingh Goculdas takes over the baton from Ravi Goenka, Chairman & Managing Director, Laxmi Organic Industries Limited. Bimal Goculdas heads the management team of DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited and is responsible for overall performance. He is a Chemical Engineer with Post Graduate from the USA and has two decades of work experience in India and the USA. He has been associated with the company, holding various senior management positions, for over 20 years and has handled production, technology, supply chain management, marketing both domestic & export, and finance.

Rajendra K. Mariwala, Managing Director, Eternis Fine Chemicals Limited, a leading exporter of specialty chemicals - specifically chemicals for fragrances and personal care products, and Member of Board of Directors, Marico Limited since July 2005, took over as the Vice President of the Indian Chemical Council. Rajendra K. Mariwala has done his Masters in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, USA and brings with him a rich experience of over 16 years in leading a competitive global business in specialty chemicals.

Kartik Bharat Ram, Joint Managing Director, SRF Limited, a diversified chemicals conglomerate engaged in the manufacturing of industrial and specialty intermediates, took over as the Additional Vice President of ICC. Kartik is deeply involved in the creation and strengthening of a performance-based culture within the organization and oversees the human resources, Total Quality Management (TQM), information technology, and corporate communications functions. In addition, Kartik serves as the Chairman of KAMA Holdings Limited, a company that holds a majority share in SRF Limited. He is also a Director of Shri Educare Limited, a company in the school education consultancy space.

Indian Chemical Council is the apex national body representing all branches of the chemical industry in India such as Organic & Inorganic Chemicals, Plastics & Petrochemicals & Petroleum Refineries, Dyestuffs & Dye-intermediates, Fertilizers & Pesticides, Specialty Chemicals, Paints, etc. Headquartered in Mumbai, ICC was founded in 1938 and is the apex body representing the interests of the Indian chemicals, petrochemicals, and allied industries.
