HEXPOL AB is replacing CEO and President Klas Dahlberg in a major leadership shake-up aimed at driving the company’s next phase of execution following the launch of its long-term strategy through 2030.

The company announced that Dahlberg will step down from the top role, with board member Henrik Elmin set to take over as CEO and President effective August 1. Until then, CFO Peter Rosén will serve as acting CEO.

Elmin, who joined the HEXPOL board in 2023, brings nearly two decades of leadership experience from Atlas Copco, most recently serving as Business Area President of Industrial Technique. He will retain his seat on HEXPOL’s board while leading the company. HEXPOL also confirmed it will begin the search for a permanent CEO after the summer.

The leadership transition signals a shift from strategy-setting to operational execution, according to Chairman Alf Göransson.

”Klas Dahlberg has been effective at establishing the strategic direction and financial targets of HEXPOL through 2030. These were communicated at the end of 2025. I would like to thank Klas for his efforts and engagement in this important process.

"We are now entering a phase where the leadership requires deep experience of coordinated implementation within a decentralized organisation. Henrik´s long career and international experience from Atlas Copco will be an important factor in the implementation”, says Alf Göransson, Chairman of the Board in HEXPOL AB.

Dahlberg will remain employed through August 1, 2026, supporting selected projects under the direction of Chairman Alf Göransson.
