Reliance restarts FCCU unit at Jamnagar

The FCCU Unit has since been stabilized and normal throughput has been achieved by RIL

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has restarted Fluidized Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) its SEZ refinery at Jamnagar which was taken for an emergency shutdown on June 6, 2021 after carrying out necessary repairs.

The FCCU Unit has since been stabilized and normal throughput has been achieved by Reliance Industries Limited. 

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) SEZ refinery at Jamnagar had gone for an emergency shutdown of its Fluidized Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) on June 6, 2021 whereas all other units at the Jamnagar Refining complex were operating normally. Consequently, some product shipments were delayed.

RIL is India’s largest private sector company, with a consolidated turnover of Rs. 659,205 crore ($87.1 billion), cash profit of Rs. 71,446 crore ($9.4 billion), and net profit of Rs. 39,880 crore ($5.3 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2020. RIL’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and digital services.
