Nuvve & E&B Renewables join forces to supercharge Europe’s battery storage market

The partners plan to develop a diverse portfolio of stationary batteries, ranging from 2 MW to 100 MW, connected to the grid and managed by Nuvve

Nuvve Denmark and E&B Renewables have teamed up to boost battery storage across Europe.

The agreement between Nuvve Denmark, a subsidiary of global vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology leader Nuvve Holding Corp, and Danish renewable energy developer E&B Renewables to roll out Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Europe, builds on Nuvve’s November 2025 announcement of three projects in Denmark.

Under the MoU, the partners plan to develop a diverse portfolio of stationary batteries, ranging from 2 MW to 100 MW, connected to the grid and managed by Nuvve. Initial plans include three 2 MW projects in Denmark, with the goal of adding 20–50 MW across the Nordic and Baltic regions in early 2026. Market conditions in Denmark and Estonia offer potential revenues between $340,000 and $570,000 per MW per year, with projects expected to operate for 15 years.

The collaboration aims to leverage Nuvve’s platform to unlock multiple revenue streams beyond traditional arbitrage and grid services. These include behind-the-meter services, energy communities, local network flexibility, and physical flexibility purchase agreements (FPA) with prosumers on or near BESS sites. While non-binding, the MoU signals both companies’ intent to move forward in good faith.

“This agreement is the beginning of the materialization of the previously announced expansion of our focus to stationary storage and microgrids,” said Gregory Poilasne, CEO of Nuvve Holding Corp.

“E&B Renewables is eager to work with Nuvve to identify the best projects that offer high yields, low risk, and short time to market,” said Nicolaj Brask Christiansen, co-CEO of E&B Renewables.

“The value of the projects developed by E&B will be brought to a new level by Nuvve’s grid asset management technology which enables upside and risk mitigation from diversification of revenue streams,” added Matias Bøje, co-CEO of E&B Renewables.
