The Maha project will be tied back to the existing Jangkrik Floating Production Unit, further enhancing operational synergies.
TechnipFMC has secured a substantial integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI) contract from Eni SpA (ENI.MI) for the deepwater Maha project offshore Indonesia. This project marks the first deployment of TechnipFMC’s Subsea 2.0 configure-to-order (CTO) technology in the country.
The award builds on the strong partnership between TechnipFMC and Eni, reinforced by previous successful collaborations in the region, including the Jangkrik and Merakes developments. The Maha project will be tied back to the existing Jangkrik Floating Production Unit, further enhancing operational synergies.
Jonathan Landes, President, Subsea at TechnipFMC, said, “This project marks another collaboration with a leading energy company to utilize our integrated execution model, strengthened by the advantages of our configurable product platform. The Maha development represents a significant opportunity to deepen our relationship with Eni and deliver greater timeline certainty through the application of Subsea 2.0 technologies and integrated execution.”
As part of the contract, TechnipFMC will design and manufacture Subsea 2.0 tree systems, flexible flowlines, a manifold, and controls, and will also handle the installation of the complete subsea production system.
For TechnipFMC, a “substantial” contract is defined as being valued between $250 million and $500 million. This award was included in the company’s inbound orders for the second quarter of 2025.
